Abu Dhabi, September 13/ WAM/ Today, the “Al -Awaj” in Abu Dhabi concluded the activities of the “Nouf Race” for the 43 feet category, for a distance of 20 nautical miles, with the participation of 87 loads organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region.
The competitions resulted in the victory of the bearing “Toufan”, by the owner Hamad Rashid Al -Rumaithi, led by Al -Nouzdah Ahmed Ismail Al -Marzouki, with the race, and secondly, the bearing “Al -Tabar” came by the owner Rashid Mohammed Rashid bin Ghadeer led by Al -Noukhada Muhammad Saif Khalfan Al -Muhairi, and thirdly the “Zurich”, by the owner, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister Under the leadership of Al -Noukhada, Khalifa Muhair Al -Mazrouei.
The winners were crowned Majid Atiq Al -Muhairi, the general supervisor of the Nouf Race, Khalifa Al -Rumaithi, head of the Heritage Race Department at Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, and Khalifa Al Suwaidi, head of the academy at the club.
The organizing committee monitored three million and one hundred thousand dirhams to the winners, which gave the race more enthusiasm and club until the last moments.
The organizing committee emphasized that sailing bearings are a real bridge between generations, and translates the interest of the wise leadership in preserving the marine heritage, promoting national identity, and motivating young people to gain experience and participation in heritage competitions.
