Sharjah Sports Council reviews new club projects and future initiatives

Sharjah, December 23 / WAM / The Sharjah Sports Council reviewed the results of the meeting of the heads of football companies in the emirate, the unification of the internal regulations of clubs, football companies and employee contracts, the names of the clubs, the developments of the field survey related to the cultural project of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the report of the digital transformation project.

The Council announced the formation of the organizing committee for the Eleventh Sharjah International Cycling Tour, scheduled to be held from January 23 to 27, 2026, headed by Abdullah Sultan Al Dah, and thanked Abdul Malik Muhammad Jani, the former Chairman of the Committee, for his efforts that contributed to its success during the past sessions.

This came during the second regular meeting of the Council, chaired by Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, and in the presence of Dr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman bin Sultan, Vice Chairman of the Council, Muhammad Obaid Al-Hussan, Secretary-General, and members Abdullah Sultan Al-Dah (remotely), Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Yasi, Dr. Omar Hassan bin Hanifa, Dr. Abdullah Muhammad Al-Malih, Hanan Muhammad Al-Mahmoud, Dr. Saif Ahmed Al-Zaabi, and Engineer Adel Saleh Al-Hammadi. And Muhammad Ali bin Hammad, rapporteur of the Board of Directors.

The Council decided to assign Dr. Abdullah Abdulrahman bin Sultan to head the governance program, Abdullah Sultan Al-Dah to head the committee to study the gliding club project, Adel Saleh Al-Hammadi to the committee to study the electronic games club project, Dr. Saif Ahmed Al-Zaabi to the public awareness committee, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Yasi to the committee to activate sports facilities, Abdullah bin Malih to the committee to study the law organizing the council, Dr. Omar bin Hanifa to the committee to raise the efficiency of legal committees, and Hanan Muhammad Al-Mahmoud to the initiatives and projects committee. future.

Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi praised the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and his royal directives to establish the Sharjah Cycling Club, stressing that the new club constitutes a qualitative addition that contributes to supporting and developing cycling at the emirate and state levels. He hoped success to the club’s Board of Directors, headed by Sheikh Rashid bin Saqr bin Hamad bin Majid Al Qasimi, to achieve its mission and goals.
