20 players representing the UAE Special Olympics in the “Youth World Cup” for Moay Tae

The Emirati Special Olympics announced the participation of 20 players and players, in the first edition of the Mawy Tai Youth Championship currently held in “Space 42 Arena” at Al -Raha Beach in Abu Dhabi, and will continue until September 19, with the participation of more than 1,200 athletes and sports representing 100 countries from six continents.
The director of the teams, Sorour Saeed, stressed that participation in cooperation with the Emirates Miya Tai and Kikboxing Federation, within the framework of the Emirati Special Olympics strategy, to enable people of determination and promote societal integration.
He explained that participating in the tournament will be limited to the training and show performance of players and players, without any direct friction, through competitions that were designed for them, according to the best global practices from the Emirates Federation for Mawy Tai and Cake Boxing.
He pointed out that the presence of the Emirati Special Olympics for the first time in the World Championship, establishes the leading UAE initiative in the integration process, and its transfer to the world, especially since the current tournament is witnessing the participation of more than 1,200 players representing 100 countries.
The tournament opened the day before yesterday, in the “Space 42 Arena” in Abu Dhabi.
The Executive Director of the Asian Union of Moaye, a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Federation, Tariq Mohammed Al -Muhairi, delivered the official opening speech. He welcomed the participating international delegations, stressing that this tournament represents a historic station to support future generations, consolidate the values of civilized competition, communication between the peoples of the world and exchange experiences, indicating that the Abu Dhabi version will make immortal moments in the memory of the Ma’i Thai International Family.
Al -Muhairi added that the participation of more than 100 countries and more than 1200 players and players reflects the great confidence that the international sports community of the UAE and Abu Dhabi attaches, and confirms the prestigious position of the state in hosting major world championships. He also expressed his pride in the strategic partnership with the International Moay Tai Federation, which contributed to achieving unprecedented successes in developing the game.
For his part, the Secretary -General of the International Union of Moay Tae, Stephen Fox, praised the level of organization and the distinguished opening ceremony, expressing his thanks and appreciation to Abu Dhabi and the Emirates for the wonderful hosting. He also valued the efforts of the Emirates Federation headed by Abdullah Saeed Al -Neyadi, and its great interest in organizing the tournaments, courses and development programs that contributed to raising the level of the game globally.
