The Emirati cadres competitiveness council celebrated the fourth anniversary of the launch of the “Nafs” program, the pioneering national program that was launched in September 2021, within the “Fifty Fifteers”, to be a basic pillar in promoting the competitiveness of Emirati cadres, enabling them to actively participate in the private sector, and preparing them to keep pace with the requirements of the future stage, which contributes to the advancement of the national economic system.

Enforcement is highlighted as an integrated national success story, not only with numbers, but also with the tangible impact on changing concepts, building a real partnership between the governmental and private sectors, and enhancing the presence of national competencies in the labor market, and its contribution to advancing the national economic development.

Investing in man .. investment in the future

In this context, Ghannam Butti Al Mazrouei, Secretary -General of the Competitiveness Council of Emirati cadres, affirmed that the Nafis program, since its inception, has been a unique model in achieving the national vision aimed at investing in human capital, and said: “Beginning with the vision of the wise leadership in the Emirates, which made the human axis the national renaissance, we achieved within four years, concrete results through the Nafis program. We focused on developing the capabilities of citizens to build a future. The homeland, believers that their empowerment is the most effective way to sustain the development. The program is not just an initiative for employment, but rather an integrated national system, aimed at creating a sustainable work environment in the private sector, based on competitiveness, knowledge and innovation, and building a real partnership and close cooperation with our partners in the government and private sectors, and these efforts have resulted in an unprecedented increase in the numbers of citizens, in various vital sectors, And consolidating their role as a main engine of the national economy. “

He added: “What we achieved during four years is only the beginning, and we are committed to continuing the march, inspired by the vision of our wise leadership, towards a future in which national competencies effectively contribute to building a sustainable and prosperous economy.”

He competed in 4 years

During the past four years, competitors achieved its goals in promoting the presence of national competencies in the labor market, within the various fields of the private sector, and raising the settlement rates in these vital sectors. The number of citizens working in the private sector has reached more than 152 thousand citizens, as the number of citizens who have joined the sector since the launch of the competing program reached more than 134 thousand citizens, working within 29 thousand establishments.

The Enfield program continues to provide an integrated package of financial, training and development support programs, with the aim of providing sustainable job opportunities, building qualified workforce forces, and enhancing the attractiveness of the private sector for Emirati competencies. On the level of financial support, the program provides multiple initiatives that include the “Citizen salary support program” that provides additional financial support on the salaries of citizens working in the private sector, determines its value according to the educational qualification and the value of the salary, in addition to the “children’s allowance program”, the “temporary support program” and the “subscription program” for retirement, as it contributes to Covering the subscriptions of pension funds according to specific rates, which reduces the financial burden About the citizen and the employer.

As for the training and development programs, he launched a series of leading initiatives, in partnership with governmental and private bodies, and academic institutions. The forefront of which is the “Kifat” program, which has benefited more than 3 thousand citizens, and the “Development of Health Sector Staff” program, which was implemented in cooperation with 11 academic institutions, and benefited more than 3 thousand citizens, graduated from them (350) in various medical specialties and health care fields. The “Vocational Guidance” program also achieved a widespread impact, as it provided more than 55 thousand individual guidance and guidance sessions, in addition to 175 workshops, which benefited more than 600 companies.

In addition, the competing with a “experience program” in cooperation with private sector companies, to provide professional disciples to new graduates in various professional specializations, and “training program during work” that is based on refining the skills of workers in the private sector and enhancing their skills.

Among the qualitative prominent programs is also the “Environmental Leadership Program” launched by the Emirati cadres competitiveness council, in cooperation with the UAE government leadership program, and aims to develop national leaders and prepare a new generation of leaders who are able to lead the private sector, contribute to enhancing the future of the national economy, and supporting the sustainable development process in the country. And “The International Enforcement Program”, which aims to train citizens outside the country, in international companies and international organizations for a period ranging from 3 to 6 months, to enhance their practical experiences, refine their leadership and technical skills, and build international professional networks, which contributes to enhancing their participation in various sectors and supporting the state’s position globally.

As for the “Manufacturers Program”, which is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and the advanced technology, and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, it seeks to enable national cadres to occupy specialized jobs in the industrial sector and advanced technology.

Enforce platform

The “Nafs platform” is a comprehensive national gate, aimed at linking citizens looking for business owners in the private sector. The platform allows citizens to find the appropriate jobs for them, see the training and rehabilitation programs offered by the Nafs program, and benefit from the various opportunities available to enhance their skills and develop their career. At the same time, the platform provides companies with the ability to display their functional vacancies, and communicate with citizens with the required competencies and skills, which enhances employment opportunities and contributes to achieving the goals of resettlement. It is worth noting that more than 80,000 jobs have been shown on a competitor platform, so far.

The platform includes a detailed explanation of competing programs for support, training and rehabilitation, as well as a wide range of common questions, conditions of eligibility, and details of communication with the Nafis team.

Change concepts

To achieve national goals in the framework of competing, a campaign to change concepts aimed at enhancing positive awareness of work opportunities in the private sector was launched, through a set of integrated initiatives, including the establishment of a “competition for youth”, which includes a group of distinguished youth, who work in various job specializations in the private sector, and aims to enhance communication and interaction with young people, and contributes to supporting the strategic directions of the Nafs program, through initiatives to enhance Young people are aware of the opportunities available in the private sector, and to enable them to acquire the necessary skills for the requirements of the labor market.

Besides, more than 600 success stories were published in the “Enforcement on your Method” campaign, and more than 65 understanding memoranda signed to employ and train citizens, and the campaign also included organizing introductory visits to local councils, and holding more than 400 educational workshops on the Nafs program, which contributes to changing societal concepts and enhancing citizens’ participation in the private sector.

The Nafs Award, which forms a leading national platform, was also launched to honor distinguished individuals and successful facilities in supporting Emiratisation, enhancing the presence of national cadres in the private sector, and consolidating a culture of competitiveness, achievement and innovation.

The award was launched in 2022 to highlight the exceptional contributions of individuals and facilities that exceed expectations in the development of Emirati talents, and to honor those who achieve the goals of resettlement and enhance the participation of Emiratis in various sectors.

The first session (2022-2023) witnessed the honor of 24 entities and 9 individuals, while the second session (2023-2024) honored 21 entities and 30 individuals, which reflects the success of the initiative in raising competencies and encouraging young people to participate actively in sustainable economic development.

The award includes multiple categories that include individual and institutional achievements, allowing the exchange of best practices and benefiting from inspiring success stories.

The third session is preparing soon to honor a new elite of individuals and establishments, which enhances the role of the award as a national platform for motivation and inspiration and confirms its commitment to building a competitive and sustainable national workforce.

Towards the future

With the conclusion of four years of achievements, the UAE competitive council continues to work to expand the scope of initiatives, develop innovative programs, and build new strategic partnerships, ensuring the sustainability of qualitative employment in the private sector, and enhances a competing position, as a pioneering national program, to empower citizens, and enhance their contribution to advancing the sustainable development of the state.
