"Emirati House" A civilized window to enhance the cultural presence of the state in China
Abu Dhabi, September 16 / WAM / The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Beijing continues to enhance the national cultural identity and confirm the civilizational message of the state in the People’s Republic of China, through a set of distinguished initiatives, most notably the “Emirati House” cultural event, which contributed to promoting cultural exchange and human ties between the two peoples.
The embassy is preparing to hold the “Emirati House” event during the period from 19 to 22 September 2025 within the activities of the Huairo Great Wall of China and Zayed Charitable Racing 2025, which will be held for the first time in Beijing.
Visitors will witness a rich journey that includes identifying authentic Emirati traditions, exploring vibrant Emirati folk arts, microscopic crafts, taste traditional foods, and enjoying an atmosphere of generosity and warmth of Emirati hospitality.
The embassy participated in the thirty -first session of the Beijing International Book Fair, which was held from 18 to 22 June, through a special pavilion entitled “The Emirati House”, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture.
The pavilion was opened by His Excellency Hussein bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, the country’s ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, in the presence of His Excellency Mubarak Al -Nakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, and a number of Emirati and Chinese official figures.
The pavilion reviewed the features of the authentic Emirati heritage by providing traditional Arab hospitality, Arabic calligraphy and formation arts. It also contained a comprehensive library that includes various Emirati publications.
The pavilion witnessed the organization of 16 cultural dialogue sessions throughout the exhibition days, with the participation of exhibitors, writers and thinkers, which contributed to promoting cultural communication with visitors from China and the world.
The “Emirati House” embodies the comprehensive image of the UAE as a prominent destination in the fields of culture and knowledge, as it witnessed a great demand from Chinese visitors and officials, and Chinese officials considered it a successful example of cultural interaction between the two countries.
In the context of the celebration of the four decades anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the embassy organized the “Emirati -Chinese Friendship Festival” in cooperation with the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
The festival included an art exhibition entitled “Creativity and Research for Young Artists”, which collected joint Emirati and Chinese works, in addition to the exhibition “Emirati – Chinese Art Society”
The Al -Ghadeer Foundation for the Emirati crafts also made live shows in the arts of Sadu, Al -Tali and the palm trees.
Relations between the UAE and China have witnessed since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1984, as it has raised a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2018. Cultural exchange and education is an important part of this partnership, such as the “Hundred Schools Project” that aims to teach the Chinese language in the United Arab Emirates, which helps to build strong cultural relations.
The embassy initiatives from the “Emirati House” to the festivals, to the upcoming participation in the Huairo Wall of China, and the Zayed Charitable Racing 2025, embodied the UAE’s commitment to perpetuating cultural exchange as a major tool to enhance its strategic partnership with China, and establish its position as a global center for cultural dialogue and cultural openness.
