Ajman Energy Committee is assigned to "Transportation" Tasks to control violations of petroleum products
Ajman, September 17/ WAM/ The Supreme Energy Committee in the Emirate of Ajman signed an agreement with the Transport Authority in Ajman to assign the tasks of judicial seizure of violations related to the circulation and transfer of petroleum products to the authority, within the framework of efforts to enhance public safety and ensure the commitment of establishments and individuals to legislation.
The agreement was signed by the Supreme Energy Committee, His Excellency Raed Obaid Al -Zaabi, Chairman of the Committee, and the Transport Authority, His Excellency Omar Mohamed Lootah, Director General of the Authority.
The agreement provides for the authorization of the Transport Authority to the tasks of judicial seizure in relation to violations of the circulation and transportation of petroleum products, including the control of the violating vehicles, the proof and editing of the records, and the implementation of periodic and field inspection campaigns, in addition to responding to the reports.
The most prominent violations that fall within the scope of the mandate include the parking of petroleum vehicles without permission or in un designable places, the circulation of petroleum products without permit, and the operation of vehicles for transporting petroleum products in violation of the provisions of trading legislation.
The two sides emphasized that the agreement comes within the framework of strengthening government cooperation and institutional integration between local authorities and that would contribute to raising the efficiency of control and inspection procedures, and ensuring the safety of trading and transporting petroleum materials through vehicles, in order to achieve compliance with legislation and enhance the quality of services in the emirate.
They emphasized that this step will also contribute to promoting traffic safety and protecting lives and property, as well as supporting the emirate’s efforts in applying best practices in the field of energy and transportation, in line with Ajman’s vision of sustainable development.
