Gold declines to $ 3643.40 an ounce
Washington on September 18/ WAM/ Gold prices decreased today 0.4 percent to $ 3643.40 an ounce.
US gold futures fell 1.1 percent delivery to $ 3678.30 upon settlement.
Prices in instant transactions were a record level at $ 3707.40 for a short period before it retracted it.
The dollar index rose 0.5 percent, making the primary commodities the highest cost of other currencies.
