Al Ain City municipality concludes "Safety campaign in the heat"
Al Ain on September 19/WAM/Al Ain City municipality concluded the “Safety in the Free” campaign that it launched during the summer in conjunction with the implementation of the work ban at noon from June 15 to September 15th at the level of the UAE.
The campaign aimed to raise the level of societal awareness of the importance of adhering to health and safety procedures in hot climates, and reducing the risks resulting from direct exposure to sunlight and heat stress, especially among workers in the field.
The campaign witnessed a variety of activities, which included more than four field awareness campaigns and field workshops, and the distribution of educational leaflets in work sites and public places that benefited about ten thousand workers, as well as providing preventive tools and practical instructions that contribute to enhancing a healthy and safe work environment.
Dr. Ghawiya Hamid Al -Nuaimi, head of the awareness and communication department of the Environmental, Health and Safety Department of the Municipality of Al -Ain, confirmed that the campaign comes within the framework of the municipality’s commitment to applying best practices that enhance the health and safety of community members, and is consistent with the directives of the Abu Dhabi government to improve the quality of life and provide a sustainable and safe environment for all.
She explained that the success of the campaign reflects fruitful cooperation with strategic partners, and their vital role in expanding the scope of the initiative and ensuring its awareness messages reaching various target groups.
