Saif Al -Midfa, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Federation for Exhibitions
Sharjah, September 20 / WAM / The Board of Directors of the Arab Federation for International Exhibitions and Conferences, working within the scope of the Arab Economic Unity Council of the League of Arab States, returned to the election of His Excellency Saif Muhammad Al -Madfah, CEO of the Expo Sharjah Center as Chairman of the Board of Directors for a new session, in appreciation of its continuous contributions and efforts in developing the exhibition and conference sector at the level of the Arab world and enhancing the position of the union at the regional and international levels.
This came during the periodic meeting that was held through the visual communication headed by His Excellency Saif Mohamed Al -Midfa, and was attended by His Excellency Mahmoud Youssef Al -Jarrah, Secretary General of the Arab Federation for International Exhibitions and Conferences, as well as the participation of representatives of 18 Arab countries from the Federation.
The Council revealed that the number of member states in the Union increased to 18 Arab countries in an important step that reflects the expansion of the union’s work and enhances the role of the exhibition sector in contributing to the development of economic cooperation and the increase in trade exchange between Arab countries, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation and integration between member states in a way that contributes to supporting the exhibition and conference industry at the level of the Arab world.
The meeting discussed a set of proposals and future work plans, including approval to organize the Arab Commercial Exhibition in Syria 2026 and work to hold the Events Management Forum, which aims to exchange experiences and best global practices in the field of organizing exhibitions, in cooperation with the Sharjah Expo Center and praised the developments of the infrastructure for the exhibition sector in Mauritania and expressed his appreciation for the efforts made to develop this vital sector and enhance its readiness to host events Regional and international.
During the meeting, the membership of Mohamed Hamza was approved by the Director General of the General Foundation for Exhibitions and International Markets within the Federation’s Board of Directors and his election as Vice President.
His Excellency Saif Mohamed Al -Midfa expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Board of Directors for his re -election as Chairman of the Council, noting that this responsibility is an incentive to continue to work on developing the exhibition and conference sector in Arab countries and enhancing the position of the union as a university umbrella for countries and institutions working in this vital field and stressed that the Union will continue its efforts in expanding strategic partnerships and enhancing the role of the exhibition sector in contributing to the development of economic cooperation and increasing trade exchange between Arab countries.
He pointed out that the next stage will witness the launch of a group of qualitative initiatives aimed at upgrading the level of exhibition and conference industry in the Arab countries and enhancing the capabilities of member states to host and organize activities with international standards.
