Amna Al Hammadi, head of the public involvement unit at the Zayed National Museum, stressed that the programs and initiatives adopted by the museum in the field of arrival, including the sign language tours, come within its comprehensive commitment to integration and integration, pointing out that it is the first institution in Abu Dhabi to offer tours in the Emirati sign language, led by specialists in the museum of deaf, aimed at enabling visitors with hearing disabilities to interact with stories The museum and its possessions in an enjoyable way.
She said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency “WAM”, on the occasion of the International Language Day, which falls on September 23, that the museum’s employees are receiving continuous training in the sign language so that they can communicate with their colleagues who use the language mainly, explaining that the “sensory bag” provided by the museum to meet the needs of the audience with nervous disorders, helps visitors to organize their sensory experiences while exploring the museum, such as the headphone headphones For sound, sunglasses, sensory reaction tools, and visual support means.
