The World Digital Trading Exhibition will start tomorrow in China and the UAE, an official guest of honor

Hangzhou on September 24/ WAM/ The UAE participates in the fourth session of the World Digital Trade Exhibition, as an official guest of honor alongside the Republic of Indonesia, which will start tomorrow and will continue until September 29 in Hangzhou, East China’s China Province.

The exhibition is held at the Hangzhou Center for Great Conferences and Exhibitions, with a total display area of ​​about 155 thousand square meters, which makes it the largest version since its inception in 2022, and is the only national platform in China specialized in the areas of digital trade, and the economy backed by modern technology.

More than 1700 exhibitors participate in the exhibition this year, including 360 international companies, representing more than 20%of the total participants, amid expectations in the presence of more than 40 thousand specialized visitors, including more than ten thousand international visitors from outside China.

The current version highlights digital innovations in the sectors of artificial intelligence, virtual reality, smart logistics, digital entertainment, e -commerce, and smart cities, by allocating specialized exhibition areas and field and experimental events.

The exhibition program includes eight main activities and 34 sub -and investment events, most notably international cooperation forums in digital trade, digital investment day, e -commerce effectiveness on the Silk Road, and a special session in cooperation with the “BRICS” countries, in addition to innovative competitions and launch platforms for new digital products.

The UAE participates in an official national wing within the exhibition, through which the most prominent initiatives and projects are presented in the fields of digital economy, financial technology, artificial intelligence, and smart government solutions, in a move that reflects the state’s advanced position in adopting the knowledge economy, digital transformation, and creating an economic environment based on innovation and advanced technologies.

The UAE’s choice as a guest of honor to this cycle confirms its growing position regional and international in the field of digital economy, and its pivotal role in strengthening global partnerships within the modern trade system, especially in light of the continuous expansion of digital infrastructure, and increasing the contribution of the digital economy to the gross domestic product.

The organization of the exhibition comes in its fourth session as a culmination of an accelerated development process since its inception in 2022, as it witnessed a remarkable expansion of its size and the number of international participants, to become an annual platform for exchanging knowledge, experiences and experiences between countries and institutions working in the areas of digital trade and modern technology.

The exhibition’s activities are expected to result in the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding between a number of governmental and private agencies, as well as the launch of official reports and economic indicators specialized in cross -border digital trade, in light of a growing global interest in the digital economy as a major engine for sustainable growth in the future.

Chinese Deputy Chinese Deputy Minister of Commerce, Cheng Cyu Bing, said that more than 70 exhibitors of the total exhibitors from the companies listed on the “Fortune Global 500” list are participating in the exhibition.
He added that during the exhibition, a series of research reports will be issued on developing global digital trade and the development of digital trade in China, and more than 30 activities will be held to coordinate business for industrial cooperation in addition to investment and financing.

It is worth noting that the Emirati -Chinese relations are firm and deep, established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and witnessed a qualitative shift under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him”, after signing comprehensive strategic agreements, and the growth of trade exchange between the two countries to reach 90 billion dollars annually, with common aspirations to reach 200 billion dollars by general 2030.

Relations between the two countries are not limited to the economic side only, but also include multiple fields, including cultural, sports, and educational cooperation, as Emirati students are increasing in studying in the most prominent Chinese universities, in addition to the growing movement of mutual tourism, as the number of Chinese tourists to the UAE has reached more than a million tourists in 2024.
