Hamdan bin Mohammed opens the Dubai International Self -Driving Exhibition and views the latest solutions and smart technologies

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Governor of Dubai, opened the Dubai World Self -Driving Exhibition, organized by the Roads and Transport Authority, in the presence of 55 exhibitors representing many leading companies.
The exhibition will be held within the work of the Dubai World Self -Driving Conference and Challenge, with the participation of more than 3000 participants from different countries of the world, and more than 80 speakers from senior officials, researchers, experts concerned and developers of modern technologies in the field of self -driving movement.
After the opening, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, toured the exhibition wings, where he briefed His Highness the latest solutions and smart technologies that the participating companies review, including electric vehicles and self -driving systems, innovative solutions in the areas of future mass transport, and self -driving planes designated for passenger transport, in addition to intelligence applications Artificial and robots supporting smart transportation systems.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stressed that Dubai is continuing to enhance its leadership as a global center for the development and application of future technologies, noting that the exhibition reflects the emirate’s approach based on the foresight of the future and adopting innovation as a major pillar to achieve sustainable development, and in support of the Dubai Self -Driving Strategy Strategy aims to convert 25% of the total transfers in the emirate into self -driving trips By 2030.
His Highness said: Dubai is continuing to consolidate its position as a global capital of innovation and a major destination to develop the future of vital sectors, including the self -driving movement, which is one of the pillars of smart cities in the world, in implementation of the vision and directives In adopting innovative solutions that improve the quality of life.
His Highness said: The self -driving strategy represents an advanced step within the Dubai Economic Agency D33, aimed at doubling the size of the emirate’s economy and enhancing its global leadership in all fields .. We are working according to an integrated approach based on support for research and development, attracting investments, and adopting the latest technologies to always be at the top of global transformations, especially in terms of digital economy and artificial intelligence.
His Highness added: Our goal is to present to the world a role model in the field of self -driving mobility, confirming Dubai’s position as a leader in sustainability and an open laboratory for the future experience.
His Highness, next to His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, reviewed the developments of the launch of the self -driving taxi service, where three leading international companies began: Baido Apollo Joe, Woy Raid Uber, Bonnie, the experimental operation of more than 60 self -driving vehicles in the Jumeirah and Umm Suqim regions, and the service will be launched commercially without a driver in 2026.
Their Highness listened to an explanation from His Excellency Matar Al -Tayer, General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority, on the unified visual identity that will be applied to all self -driving vehicles for companies operating in Dubai, under the name “Dubai Future Flight”, where these vehicles will provide an exceptional experience for customers, by providing recreational interactive screens supported by artificial intelligence technologies.
Their Highness also listened to an explanation of the Dubai Self -Driving Strategy 2025-2040, which aims to raise the percentage of trips that take place through self -driving means from 20.4% currently to 25% in 2030, and 36% in 2040.
The exhibition includes a display of self -driving vehicles and buses, robotics techniques and artificial intelligence, and sustainable smart mobility solutions, as “Tensor” revealed its self -driving vehicles that are displayed for the first time in the region, while Xpeng’s Chinese company reviewed its self -driving plane. The exhibition also witnessed the participation of five alliances and companies within the Dubai World Self -Driving Challenge.
