Continue the activities of the Kalba Festival for short plays

Kalba on September 27/ WAM/ The activities of the twelfth session of the Short Dramat Festival, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and organized by the Department of Culture, at the Cultural Center in Kalba until the second of next October.
The activities were attended by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in Kalabaa, His Excellency Abdullah Al Owais, Head of the Culture Department in Sharjah, President of the Festival, Ahmed Bouraima, Director of theater Department in the department, the festival director, and a number of guests.
Aisha Al -Kida, through a film material, shed light on one of the features of the last session and the preparatory period that preceded the current session of the festival that established in 2012, with the aim of discovering and qualifying theatrical talents, and enriching the cultural scene in the eastern region.
The jury is headed by Emirati artist Walid Omran, and includes the Syrian director Tamer Al -Arabide, Moroccan director Hisham Shakib, Egyptian actress Enas Ezzat, and Emirati actor Abdullah Al -Khadim.
A short documentary film showed the most prominent aspects of the creative creative march of “The Personality of the Festival”, the artist Abdel Hamid Al Balushi.
The first day show program was launched with the play “Al -Haft” prepared by a text bearing the same title by Stanislav Strateyev, directed by Fakher Abu Zuhair.
The main spokesman at the cash symposium, which followed the show, praised the Tunisian artist Makram Al -Sanhouri; The director’s efforts, praised the vitality and harmony of the actors.
The second show, entitled “The Last Scene”, on the text of the “artistic creation” of Norris, and directed by Osama Dawood, interviews the complex relationship between the artist and the characters he makes in his creative works.
The Jordanian artist Yazan Eid, who spoke at the cash symposium on the show, posed a set of questions about the visual and auditory options of the director, appreciating the efforts of the actors.
The headquarters of the Kalba Association for Folklore and theater will host tomorrow, the accompanying intellectual forum under the title “The role of short plays in developing directing skills”.
Ashraf Al -Rabhi and Rayyan Al -Qayrawani from Tunisia, Yassin Al -Hawari, Morocco, and Makhld Rasim from Iraq, will participate in the forum, and his sessions are managed by Kamal Hilali from Tunisia, and Adel Madih from Morocco.
