"Housing citizens"/ A large group of projects since the beginning of 2025 has strengthened family stability

Abu Dhabi, September 28 / WAM / The “Housing Citizen” sector in the UAE has witnessed since the beginning of 2025 (the year of society) the launch of a large group of initiatives and projects that would enhance the family stability system, and raise the standard of living and a decent life for citizens.
The citizens ’housing projects that were announced during the current year embodied the volume of care and official support for this vital file, which is moving forward according to a future road map that focuses on facilitating the procedures for obtaining housing support and diversifying the sources of financing, as well as reducing the waiting period for the supporters of support.
The Zayed Housing Program issued 2971 housing decisions from January to the third quarter of this year, with a total of two billion and 69 million and 200 thousand dirhams, and the decisions included 522 decisions with a honored grant from His Highness the President of the State, may God protect him, at a value (Grant/benefit), at a value of 19 million dirhams, and 1830 residential financing decisions worth one billion and 449 million dirhams.
Within the general community, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, represented in the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, announced the launch of an initiative to secure the financing of housing support decisions for citizens who benefit from housing loans, with a special focus on senior citizens, with the aim of providing a comprehensive insurance protection umbrella that covers deaths or permanent total deficit resulting from an accident or others, with the extension of coverage until the age of 95, which provides long -term financial protection for families Emirati.
At the local level, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced agreements to develop 13 new residential society in the emirate to provide more than 40 thousand housing and housing lands for citizens at a total cost of 106 billion dirhams.
The agreements – signed by the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority and the Abu Dhabi Center for Projects and Infrastructure with a number of real estate development companies – include building 25 thousand and 244 housing units for citizens during the next five years, with a total value of 94 billion dirhams, in addition to developing about 14 thousand and 876 residential lands at a cost of up to 12 billion dirhams.
New projects aim to develop integrated residential communities and neighborhoods for citizens.
This comes in addition to the projects that are currently being developed, which are the West Bani Yas residential project, and the Yas Residential Channel project, bringing the total of residential benefits under completion to about 45 thousand housing and housing lands, which will be completed in 2029.
The Emirate of Abu Dhabi announced the implementation of a set of additional facilities in the housing loan payment system, as an amount of 250 thousand dirhams was approved as societal support that is deducted from the value of the housing loan and is applied retroactively and automatically on all the beneficiaries of the loans, and the value of the monthly installments for housing loans was reduced by extending the period of payment of housing loans for a period of up to 30 years.
In a related context, the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi launched the “Facilitated Housing Solutions Project” that aims to enhance diversity in the real estate market in the emirate, and improve the standard of living for individuals and families, as well as enhance the integration and societal ties that are essential elements that support the goals of the community.
The year 2025 witnessed the accreditation of two packages of residential benefits in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, with a total value of 11.38 billion dirhams, of which 7218 citizens benefited.
For its part, the Emirate of Dubai announced last January, the implementation of a package of housing projects worth 5.4 billion dirhams in several regions, in support of the Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum program.
The housing projects plan included building 3004 new housing for citizens.
Dubai has also adopted a housing package of more than 2 billion dirhams, including more than 1,100 housing units, distributed over four main areas: Wadi Al -Amdi, Al -Aweer, and even the promises of Al -Muttina.
In a related context, the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Corporation announced the provision of a total of 3027 housing facilities during the first half of 2025, with a total value of more than 1.725 billion dirhams.
Last May, Dubai witnessed the signing of an agreement to implement the housing projects, which will provide in the first stage more than 17 thousand housing units for competencies operating in the vital and strategic sectors in the emirate.
In turn, in February 2025, the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah approved the first batch of those entitled to granting residential and investment lands of 2000 entitled to 1,200 beneficiaries from the granting of residential lands, and 800 beneficiaries of the granting of investment lands, distributed over the cities and regions of the emirate.
Last July, Sharjah announced the adoption of a new batch of those who deserve housing support in the emirate, dedicated to critical cases, with a budget of 335 million dirhams, which will benefit 431 families, and all of these requests will be in the grant category, as the beneficiaries will be delivered by ready governmental housing.
