Hamdan bin Zayed visits the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show in its seventh session
ABU DHABI, 22nd November, 2017 (WAM) – Today, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, visited the activities of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show in its seventh session, which was launched at the Marina Marina at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. It is organized by the ADNEC Group and witnesses wide participation from a group of local and international companies specialized in the marine industries sector, along with the most prominent manufacturers of boats, yachts and marine equipment from the region and the world.
His Highness was accompanied on the tour by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Court of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Hazza bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, His Excellency Issa Hamad Bushahab, Advisor to His Highness the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, and His Excellency Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNEC Group.
During the visit, His Highness was briefed on the most prominent equipment and technologies in the industries and marine sports sectors, and met with a number of officials and decision-makers in the major local and international companies participating and listened to a detailed explanation of the latest new equipment that was launched during the exhibition’s activities.
His Highness praised the unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to strengthen and develop the maritime industrial sector and develop maritime tourism activities, which will have a positive impact on national companies to build strategic partnership relationships with international companies to localize the country’s maritime industries and create competitive value for the UAE maritime industries.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the importance of the exhibition as a qualitative event that brings together national and international expertise and cadres in one platform that allows the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and supports the country’s march in developing marine industries related to the blue economy.
His Highness said: The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show represents an important addition to the specialized events in Abu Dhabi, and a fundamental pillar for strengthening the maritime sector in the country, by attracting the most prominent international companies and highlighting the advanced national capabilities in the field of boat, yacht and marine equipment manufacturing, which reflects the extent of Abu Dhabi’s commitment to supporting the process of developing various maritime industries, and consolidating its position as a leading destination on the map of the regional and international maritime economy. Activities related to the maritime sector gain great importance due to their role in promoting sustainable economic growth, providing new opportunities for innovation and investment, and supporting National projects related to modern marine research and technologies.
His Highness pointed out that organizing this event in Abu Dhabi embodies the vision of the wise leadership in supporting vital economic sectors, including marine industries, which constitute a fundamental focus of the emirate’s future development plans, stressing Abu Dhabi’s keenness to continue developing the supportive environment for national companies and enabling them to compete regionally and globally.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan also expressed his appreciation for the organizational efforts made by the ADNEC Group in preparing and organizing this specialized event, praising its role in strengthening the emirate’s position as the capital of the business tourism sector in the region, and a global center for hosting major economic events that serve various sectors.
