Al Rahmaniyah Suburb Council in Sharjah hosts the third round of the initiative "Beautiful residential neighborhoods"

Sharjah, November 22nd / WAM / The Al Rahmaniyah Suburb Council in Sharjah hosted the third round of the “More Beautiful Residential Neighborhoods” initiative, organized by the Department of Planning and Surveying in cooperation with the Department of Suburban Affairs, as part of its series of awareness tours aimed at enhancing community awareness of the importance of preserving the general appearance and developing the aesthetic and urban sense in the emirate.

The event, which was held at the district headquarters, witnessed a large presence and interaction from residents of the region and members of the council, with the participation of His Excellency Engineer Ali Sultan bin Butti Al Muhairi, Director of the Department of Planning and Survey, His Excellency Ahmed Abdullah Al Matroushi, Chairman of the Al Rahmaniyah District Council, and His Excellency Engineer Jameela Al Fandi Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Committee of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Municipalities, Security Affairs and Public Utilities of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, along with a number of members of the campaign.

His Excellency Engineer Ali Sultan bin Butti Al Muhairi confirmed that the department is implementing comprehensive development plans to improve the urban landscape in various regions of Sharjah, stressing that the partnership with the Suburbs Affairs Department and its councils is an essential foundation for monitoring residents’ needs and determining priorities, adding that continuous communication with residents contributes to developing practical plans to address visual distortions and improve the quality of residential facilities.

For his part, His Excellency Ahmed Abdullah Al Matroushi explained that the Council’s hosting of the initiative stems from the Council’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the relevant government agencies and support the efforts made to address visual distortions and improve the general appearance of the suburb, in a way that enhances the spirit of belonging and community responsibility.

Her Excellency Engineer Jameela Al Fandi Al Shamsi stressed the importance of periodic meetings that bring together residents and representatives of government agencies, for their role in monitoring field challenges and taking quick measures that contribute to providing sustainable solutions that meet the needs of residents.

The “More Beautiful Residential Neighborhoods” initiative team expressed its appreciation for the great interaction from the residents of the suburb, noting that this interaction reflects the community’s awareness and eagerness to participate in developing its residential environment.

The team presented a detailed presentation of the initiative’s objectives and the proposed engineering and cosmetic solutions, including possible modifications to the facades of houses to enhance privacy and urban beauty. The team also listened to residents’ comments that will contribute to the development of upcoming field plans.
