Al -Zyoudi meets a number of business leaders and chief executives of international companies

New York, September 30 / WAM / His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al -Zyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, during his visit to New York, was held as part of the country’s delegation that participated in the eighties of the United Nations General Assembly led by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, a series of bilateral meetings with officials from the government and private sectors from many countries of the world, with the aim of strengthening trade and investment relations of the UAE with these countries.

His Excellency Dr. Al -Zyoudi said that the presence of a high -level Emirati delegation led by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the annual meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, confirms the state’s commitment to continuing to play a pivotal role in promoting global economic growth and prosperity, noting that by building strong partnerships and benefiting from the integration of countries of the world, we can advance the wheel of growth and prosperity for the whole world.

He added that the discussions and side meetings witnessed by the 80th session of the association are a new step towards achieving common goals in sustainable development.

His Excellency Al -Zyoudi met, in addition to his participation in the UAE American Business Council, and during an expanded meeting in the American Chamber of Commerce, with senior executives of a variety of sectors, including financial services and private investment companies such as the Mashreq Bank, “UBS” and “KKR”.

He also met influential figures from the Goldman Sachs International Institute, Black Rock Investment Infrastructure, the Eurasia Group, and others, while during these meetings, constructive cooperation mechanisms were discussed to enhance economic relations and advance growth and sustainable development.

The meetings of His Excellency Dr. Al -Zyoudi with senior government officials and executives of companies come in a translation of the UAE’s vision that the partnership between the government and private sectors is an effective platform for stimulating economic growth and prosperity.

This participation also established the role of the UAE as an effective member of the international community, and a leading contribution to the efforts of innovation, cooperation and sustainable economic development.

The annual meeting of the United Nations General Assembly represents a vital platform for countries to meet and discuss the best ways to face urgent global challenges. This year, the meeting highlighted the importance of dialogue in dealing with complex issues such as the governance of artificial intelligence, climate change, and global health care.
