The results of the 12… grades appear first, and the general average is in the certificate only

Emirates Today received a number of inquiries from twelfth grade students and their parents about the general average or percentage not appearing on the student page for the results at the end of the 2025-2026 academic year, following the announcement of the results, wondering why the data shown is limited to subject grades only, and when the final average will be available.

The Ministry of Education explained, through a frequently asked questions guide related to student results, certificates and tests for the end of the 2025-2026 academic year, that the general average does not appear directly on the student’s page when the results are announced, but rather is included in the electronic end-of-year certificate after completing the procedures for issuing it.

The Ministry confirmed that the student page was designed to display the final results of academic subjects separately, so that the student can view the performance of each subject, while the final electronic certificate includes all approved academic data, first and foremost the general average and percentage of twelfth grade students.

She explained that the appearance of the average is linked to the completion of success requirements and making the certificate available for extraction and printing, noting that the electronic certificate is the official document that the student relies on when applying to higher education institutions, whether inside or outside the country, as it includes the final academic result in all its details.

This clarification comes in response to inquiries from students and parents who expected the general average to appear simultaneously with the subject grades, while the Ministry confirmed that its failure to appear on the results page does not mean that it is not calculated, but rather is due to the approved results issuance mechanism, which separates the display of subject grades and the issuance of the final document.

After the electronic certificate is made available, the student obtains an integrated document that includes his final academic data, including the general average and percentage, with the possibility of using it in university admission procedures and other official transactions.
