"Union trains" Passenger services are launched in 2026 and link 11 cities and region along the state

Abu Dhabi, September 30 / WAM / Al -Ittihad train company confirmed that it is proceeding with a confident pace towards launching passenger transport services by 2026 in line with the UAE’s ambitions in providing an integrated, safe and effective network for transport in railways that contribute to enhancing interconnection between cities and societies and meeting the needs of passengers according to the highest international standards.
Azza Al -Suwaidi, Executive Vice President of Al -Ittihad Train Services, said in statements to the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of the launch of the second edition of the International Fair and Conference on Railways, Transport and Infrastructure “Global Rail 2025” in Abu Dhabi today that the Federation trains are working to build strategic partnerships to ensure smooth and connected trips through integrated solutions to link the services of the first and last miles in cooperation with my provider Local transport, municipalities and technological platforms.
She explained that the company is developing a global level passenger experience that combines comfort, reliability and appropriate prices in addition to relying on digital tickets first, noting that the network of trains will be characterized by completely separate paths from the roads, which enhances safety levels by eliminating the risks of collision.
She added that the passenger service will provide accurate and reliable time schedules, as it will take the trip from Abu Dhabi to Dubai 57 minutes, from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah 105 minutes and from Abu Dhabi to Ruwais 70 minutes while providing spaces for work, reading or relaxation on the trains, allowing passengers to choose the best way to spend their trips.
She pointed out that the trains are designed to accommodate 400 passengers per train with the operation of multiple flights daily, which enhances the ability to transport individuals, families and groups with high efficiency.
With regard to the stations along the cities and regions of the state, Al -Suwaidi said that planning for them is a pivotal part of building an integrated and safe network that is easy for everyone to reach, noting that passenger services will link 11 cities and regions along the country of goods to the west to the East through the east through the Swim, the port, Sharjah, Al -Dhaid, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
She emphasized that the company is working to adhere to the target date for the launch of passenger services in 2026, where quality, safety and reliability are essential pillars in all stages of implementation.
She pointed out that the ticket system is a pivotal component in the passenger experience and will benefit from the latest technologies and innovations, pointing out that “Global Rail 2025” highlights the role of technology and smart movement solutions in shaping the future of travel with trains.
On the high -speed train project, Al -Suwaidi explained that it will link Abu Dhabi and Dubai at a speed of up to 350 kilometers per hour, allowing the movement between the two cities in just 30 minutes, noting that the project will contribute to adding about 145 billion dirhams to the GDP of the UAE during the next fifty years, in order to enhance the state’s position as a leading destination in the railway sector of the new generation.
She pointed out that the UAE is committed to contributing to pushing the march of regional linking between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council through joint projects such as “Hafit Track”, stressing that the presence of ministerial delegations from different countries of the region in “Global Rail” is a major station to draw the features of the future of transportation in railways.

Al -Suwaidi emphasized that the national rail network represents a long -term national project designed to serve future generations and embody the UAE’s commitment to unity, integration and sustainability.
