Sharjah, September 30 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, presided over today, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, and His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, the weekly meeting of the Council in the office of His Highness.

During its meeting, the Council discussed multiple government issues that included all sectors of government work to follow up on the growth witnessed by the emirate and strengthening it with more services and facilities that support the stability of society and its bond more and achieve a decent living for families.

In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Council approved the launch of the “Sharjah Census 2025” project, which comes within the emirate’s plans to collect the diverse demographic, social and economic data of the residents of the emirate, which provides a comprehensive image about the Sharjah community and its needs, and supports the decisions supported by data and statistics.

The Sharjah 2025 census will include three stages that start with the comprehensive counting of Emirati families in the style of the telephone interview starting from October 15, followed by the stage of the comprehensive count through the field interview starting from November 3, and the stages of the census are concluded with population estimates through office work at the beginning of January 2026 to publish the initial results in the first quarter and the final results in the second quarter of 2026.

In continuation of the directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in providing the necessary support and facilitating citizens to build their homes and provide additional sources of income that supports a decent living for families, the Council approved the second batch of those entitled to granting residential and investment lands of 1500 entitled to 550 residential land grants and 950 investment land grants in all cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Council issued a decision regarding the organization of the membership program for projects supported by the Sharjah Foundation to support entrepreneurial projects “Rowad” with the aim of supporting and supporting the small and medium enterprises owned by the citizen work pioneer in the emirate, and contributing to the development of the development policy of small and medium enterprises.

The decision stipulated that the member exempt from the fees of government agencies for a period of 5 years from the date of the establishment of the project, and half the fees of government agencies for an additional two years if the facility is practicing industrial activity.

The decision also included the legal materials concerned with the formation of the membership program, its conditions, privileges, obligations, fees, project financing, business incubators, and others.
