Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan meets an Egyptian delegation to enhance joint cooperation and coordination in the field of drug control

Abu Dhabi, September 30 / WAM / His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Head of the National Anti -Narcotics Agency, met at the headquarters of the agency, a delegation from the Arab Republic of Egypt headed by His Excellency Major General Mohamed Zuhair, Assistant Minister of Interior for Narcotics and Weapons Affairs, in the framework of efforts to enhance joint cooperation and coordination in the field of drug control.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to expand the areas of cooperation in exchanging information and experiences and addressing cross -border drug crimes, as well as reviewing opportunities to benefit from the latest technologies in the fields of monitoring and tracking, and developing specialized training programs for cadres working in this sector.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the strategy of the National Anti -Narcotics Agency and the approved field and legislative work mechanisms, which contributes to enhancing the exchange of experiences and unifying efforts to confront smuggling and promotion networks.
His Excellency Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan emphasized that this visit reflects the depth of distinguished brotherly relations and joint keenness to address the cross -border security challenges through continuous coordination and joint action.
For his part, Major General Mohamed Zuhair expressed his appreciation for the warm reception, praising the leading national experience in the field of drug control, and stressing his country’s aspiration to develop practical cooperation frameworks and future coordination in the fields of field and preventive work and training.
At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed to develop a joint action plan that includes the exchange of field visits, the organization of specialized training workshops, and the intensification of cooperation to address the growing challenges related to the smuggling and promotion of drugs.
