Under the patronage of the Crown Prince of Fujairah / " Fujairah for the child’s book" October 26 kicks off
Fujairah on October 1/ WAM/ Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Emirate of Fujairah is preparing to organize the second edition of the Fujairah Child Book Fair 2025, from October 26 to November 2, organizing the office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah and in cooperation with the Fujairah Culture and Information Authority, at the Dibba Exhibition Center in Dibba Al -Fujairah.
The exhibition witnesses in its second edition this year the participation of 52 publishing houses from inside and outside the country, representing eight countries, which are, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, Sultanate of Oman, and the United Kingdom, which participates for the first time in the event, to be the first non -Arab country to join the list of participants and exhibitors, which adds an important international dimension to this cultural demonstration allocated to children.
The exhibition aims to consolidate the love of reading between children and provide cognitive and creative content that meets the aspirations of new generations, through interactive programs and specialized workshops, as well as literary, theatrical and artistic shows that contribute to the development of imagination and creativity of visitors.
The exhibition is an extension of the success achieved by the first edition by organizing a qualitative cultural event directed to child literature and combining entertainment and education, in an integrated cultural environment that reflects the cultural strategic vision of the Emirate of Fujairah in supporting the publishing and knowledge sector.
His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al -Zyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Chairman of the Supreme Committee Organizing the Exhibition, said that the Fujairah Children’s Book Fair has received great support and attention from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, who believes in the importance of investing in science and knowledge to build man, society and the future, and this event confirms the vision of the Emirate of Fujairah towards supporting the culture sector and upgrading it at all levels.
For his part, His Excellency Nasser Muhammad Al -Yamahi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Information Authority, said, “This exhibition is one of the rare specialized cultural initiatives at the region level, as it focuses fully on child and young literature, and combines the book, art, and technology, in a space that enhances the attendance of reading in the daily life of children, and stimulates imagination and innovation since the first years of training. We in the authority are working to develop this event. Annually to keep pace with the aspirations of new generations and establish the position of Fujairah as an active and international cultural center.
It is expected that the exhibition will witness direct meetings and effective partnerships between young writers and publishers, and free reading spaces, as well as books signatures, and a special suit for innovation and digital media in child literature.
In its second edition, the exhibition confirms its position as one of the leading cultural initiatives at the level of the state and the region, as it constitutes a vital platform to encourage the publication of the child, and to enhance the presence of the Emirate of Fujairah on the map of the major cultural events that serve society, amid great aspirations to enhance the culture of reading among children and adolescents, and to expand the prospects of communication with childish creativity between cultural institutions and Arab and international publishing houses.
