"Friends of cancer patients" Launching a campaign "Pink October"

Sharjah on October 1/ WAM/ The “Friends of Cancer Patients” Association launched today, the annual “October” campaign organized by the “pink caravan” on the occasion of the “International Month of Breast Cancer Awareness”, and its eight fixed clinics and large and small mobile medical clinics affiliated with the “pink convoy” witnessed a community and societal interaction on its opening day to conduct basic free medical examinations for early detection On breast cancer, clinical and radiological tests include “mammogram” and audio waves in more than 86 locations in the United Arab Emirates and its major cities.

The “pink convoy” prepared an integrated program of educational activities and interactive workshops.

Aisha Al -Mulla, director of the association, said, the campaign translates our vision to enhance societal awareness and translate it into a responsible health culture represented by prevention and pre -emptive steps to protect society, and the campaign provides a model to bring about positive change and constitutes a starting point towards strengthening joint responsibility in order to build an integrated system of awareness, psychological support, community support and institutional partnerships.

She added, Sharjah has proven that it is an incubator environment for the leading health and humanitarian initiatives, and the campaign is in line with this national approach and reflects the position of the UAE, which places human health and its dignity at the forefront of its priorities as a pioneer in investing in prevention and early support.

Fixed clinics are distributed throughout the UAE from 1 to 31 October this day from four to ten in the evening, with the exception of the Khor Fakkan clinic, which receives visitors from 10 am to 4 pm.
