Al Ain City Municipality concludes a campaign "The eye deserves it" To maintain the overall appearance

Al Ain, January 11 / WAM / The Al Ain City Municipality concluded the campaign to maintain the general appearance, “Al Ain Deserves,” which was implemented over a period of seven months, with the aim of consolidating civilized behavior, enhancing social responsibility, and improving the city’s aesthetics, in line with Al Ain’s vision as a sustainable city with a high quality of life.

The campaign achieved qualitative results that reflected the effectiveness of the participatory approach adopted by the municipality, as the number of beneficiaries of its programs and initiatives reached more than one million beneficiaries, while more than 10,000 awareness-raising field visits were carried out covering the various areas of Al Ain City, with the participation of 21 strategic partners from governmental and semi-governmental agencies and the private sector.

During the campaign, the municipality implemented 51 awareness and community initiatives, targeting residential neighborhoods, industrial areas, farms and estates, commercial shops, walkways and public parks, and achieved a general satisfaction rate of 98% with the awareness methods, in addition to a decrease in violations of distortions of the general appearance by 36.2% compared to the beginning of the campaign.

His Excellency Salem Rashid Al Ketbi, Executive Director of the Sub-Municipal Operations Sector, said that the campaign represented an advanced model in municipal work based on community partnership, expressing his thanks and appreciation to all members of society for their positive interaction, and to the strategic partners from governmental and semi-governmental agencies and the private sector for their pivotal role and active cooperation in the success of the “Al Ain Deserves” campaign, stressing that the campaign was not just a temporary awareness event, but rather a strategic initiative aimed at creating sustainable behavioral change among individuals. Community, and promoting the concept that maintaining the public appearance is a shared responsibility between the municipality and residents.

He added that the results achieved reflect growing societal awareness. The campaign recorded a growth in the number of beneficiaries by 157% compared to 2024, and an increase in the number of awareness-raising field visits by 461%, which confirms the effectiveness of field work and direct communication with segments of society in achieving the desired impact.

For her part, Fatima Al Shamsi, Head of the Community Communication Department in the municipality, explained that the diversity of initiatives implemented in the “Al Ain Deserves” campaign, especially community initiatives, school initiatives, and awareness programs for contractors and shop owners, contributed to expanding the scope of influence and reaching new segments, and transforming awareness messages into daily practices that were directly reflected in the reduction of distortions and the improvement of the general urban landscape of Al Ain city’s neighborhoods.

She said that the campaign enhanced the positive mental image of the city of Al Ain, and established the values ​​of belonging and social responsibility, noting that the indicators and results achieved represent a strong foundation to build on in the next stage, by developing more specialized and sustainable initiatives, and continuing to involve the community in preserving the beauty of the city and its gains.
