A varied intellectual program for the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum at the Jakarta Book Fair

Jakarta on October 1/ WAM/ The Abu Dhabi Peace Forum was organized during its participation in the Jakarta International Book Fair 2025 scientific seminars, intellectual dialogues and specialized workshops, along with a display pavilion that guarantees its publications.
The activities of the forum – which lasted for five days under the slogan “Drubs of Peace from Abu Dhabi to Jakarta” – were opened with a speech by His Excellency Abdullah Salem Al Dhaheri, the country’s ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, in the presence of Delasians, and representatives of academic, research and religious institutions in Indonesia, in which he reviewed the path of historical relations between the UAE and Indonesia.
On its first day, the program included a symposium entitled “Emirates and Indonesia: The Unit of Values and Peace Mara” focused on the common values between the two countries and their role in promoting regional and international peace.
The forum reviewed in an introductory session on its second day, the most prominent workplace during the past years, including its initiatives, reference data and conferences.
On this occasion, Dr. Amna Saeed Al -Shehhi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum office in Rabat said that participation in the Jakarta exhibition comes within the forum’s efforts to embody the UAE’s vision, through initiatives that enhance civilizational partnership, provide peaceful alternatives instead of hate speeches, and at the same time formulate humanitarian alliances for cultures, between good lovers and peace makers in the world.
Within the framework of the academic partnership, the forum organized, in cooperation with Sharif Hidaya Allah’s Islamic State University in Jakarta, a symposium entitled “Jurisprudence of Reality and Tolerance: Establishing Values in a Changing World” that discussed the integration of the values of tolerance in educational and research curricula with the participation of a number of academics, including Dr. Salib Saif Al -Din Jahir, President of the University.
While a symposium entitled “Milestones from the Thoughts of the scholar Sheikh Abdullah bin Bey”, Chairman of the Emirates Sharia Fatwa Council, President of the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, held his contributions to the jurisprudence of peace and the fatwa industry and the jurisprudence of minorities and citizenship, with the participation of researchers from the forum and Indonesian academics.
The activities concluded a symposium in the Istiqlal Mosque entitled “Islam and the Culture of Peace: Rooting Values and promoting coexistence in a diverse world”, with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Nasruddin Omar, the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs- the Grand Imam of the Istiklal Mosque, and the presence of His Excellency Abdullah Salem Al Dhaheri, the state ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia and a number of ministers, officials, scholars and interested people.
The forum wing in the exhibition witnessed the presentation of academic and controlling publications in peace studies in Arabic, English and Indonesian languages, in addition to short dialogue sessions with visitors.
During these events, the forum signed scientific partnerships with Sharif Hidaya Al -Allah’s Islamic State University and the Istiqlal Mosque, to enhance dialogue and cultural and intellectual exchange programs.
