Dubai Airports Corporation confirmed that it continues its efforts to adopt the latest technological solutions within the framework of raising absorptive capacity and providing smooth travel experiences, noting that in cooperation and coordination with the General Administration of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, advanced third -generation examination devices are installed, allowing travelers to keep electronic devices and fluids inside bags during inspection.
And “Dubai Airports” revealed to “Emirates Today” a plan in cooperation with “Dubai’s residence” to allow the red carpet service in the building coming in Building No. (3) within a month or two, to include other places inside the airport later, in order to enhance the experience of travelers, and keep pace with the position of Dubai Airport as one of the most advanced and innovative airports in the world.
In detail, the CEO of Operations at the Dubai Airports Corporation, Majid Al -Joker, said that “Dubai Airports” continues to work to raise the capacity of Dubai International Airport, without adding or building new spaces at the airport, noting that the strategy it adopts is based on investment in the latest technical and smart solutions, with the aim of raising the efficiency of operation, and improving the experience of travelers from the moment they arrive until their boarding.
The Joker told «Emirates Today» that this includes the expansion of the use of artificial intelligence systems and innovative digital solutions that reduce the time to finish travel procedures, from check -in and examination of passports, through security inspections and even boarding the plane.
He stated that “Dubai Airports” has gone a long way at the global level by working to improve the management of passengers inside the airport buildings through movement tracking systems and immediate data, which contributes to preventing congestion, and distributing passengers smoothly in various facilities, pointing out that these steps come within the commitment of “Dubai Airports” to provide a global travel experience, and to preserve the leadership of the emirate as a major center of aviation and international travel.
Al -Joker stressed that “Dubai Airports” continues their efforts to adopt the latest technological solutions, noting that in cooperation and coordination with the General Administration of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, advanced third -generation examination devices are installed with three -dimensional tomography technology in the Traveler Building No. (3), provided that their installation is completed in various airport buildings by May next year.
He explained that this step aims to enhance security levels, raise the capacity of the airport, and improve the flow of passengers almost twice as much Procedures, reduce waiting times, in addition to providing a smoother travel experience.

The Joker explained that the “red carpet” at Dubai International Airport, the first of its kind in the world, allows travelers to pass passport procedures within a few seconds, and without the need to highlight any travel documents, where the smart corridor is characterized by its ability to process up to 10 travelers at the same time, which contributes to raising the flow of passengers, and accelerating the completion of procedures to record levels compared to traditional smart gates.
He revealed that there is a plan, in cooperation with the General Administration of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai, to allow the red carpet in the building in the building (No. 3) within a month or two, and said that the expansion of the use of this technology will increase with time, to include other places inside the airport, in a way that enhances the experience of travelers, and keeps pace with the position of Dubai Airport as one of the most advanced and innovative airports in the world.
He added that Dubai International Airport recorded the highest rate of movement of passengers in the first half in its history by receiving 46 million passengers, and this growth reflects the great momentum of the aviation sector in Dubai, and the efficiency of airport operations in maintaining high operating levels.
Al -Joker pointed out that Dubai is preparing for a significant increase in travel, during the second half of the year 2025, amid expectations that the total traffic of passengers through Dubai International Airport will reach 96 million passengers by the end of this year, which is another record year for the largest airport in the world in terms of international travelers.
