“Emirates Airlines” and “flydubai” support the “Dubai Critic Strategy”

His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the CEO of Emirates Airlines and the Group and Supreme President of “Fly Dubai”, witnessed the signing of both Emirates and Fly Dubai, the memoirs of an understanding with “Dubai Finance”, with the aim of enhancing digital payment initiatives, and supporting the targets of “Dubai Call Strategy”, and in a way that establishes Dubai’s position as a leading global center for the digital economy, in the presence of the Director General of “Finance Dubai », Abdul Rahman Saleh Al Saleh.

A statement, issued yesterday, stated that the two memoirs of understanding aim to enhance cooperation through several axes, including the exchange of experiences and technical knowledge, and the best practices in non -cash payment solutions, within the travel and tourism system. The two carriers will also discuss with the “Dubai Finance” opportunities to hold workshops and training sessions, and to evaluate the directions of the accreditation of payments to support strategic planning efforts.

Cooperation will focus on tourists and travelers coming to Dubai by developing initiatives that enhance the experience of digital payment, and expand their scope to be more comprehensive, and the two carriers and the department will study the launch of joint marketing campaigns to enhance visitors’ awareness of digital payments, and to provide incentives that encourage their adoption, in addition to providing various solutions, such as non -intercourse.

Dubai received more than 18.7 million tourists in 2024, as tourists who depend on cash payment represent a large non -invested segment, providing a promising opportunity to accelerate the adoption of digital payment solutions among tourists, and open broad horizons for this transformation.

The memoirs of the understanding were signed by the Vice President and CEO of commercial operations at Emirates Airlines, Adnan Kazem, CEO of commercial operations in “Fly Dubai”, Hamad Obaidullah, and the CEO of the Central Accounts Sector in “Dubai Finance”, Ahmed Ali Moftah.

Kazem said, in a statement issued yesterday: “Our strategic partnership with (Dubai Finance) is an important opportunity to accelerate the pace of digital payment solutions within the tourism system in the emirate.” He added, “The employment of our joint experiences and our advanced infrastructure would support Dubai’s vision for a non -critical society, and contribute directly to achieving the targets of the Dubai Economic Agency (D33).”

Kazem continued: «Through this cooperation we are working to enable a model for integrated digital tourism that provides smooth and rich experiences for visitors, and at the same time it constitutes a leading model to follow for other global cities, and the network of extensive destinations will support the promotion of the Dubai Critic System at the international level, which encourages millions of visitors annually to adopt safe digital solutions since the beginning of their journey and the ticket reservation process.

For his part, Moftah stressed that the partnership with Emirates Airlines and Flydubai is an important station in the march of implementing the Dubai critical strategy, pointing to its contribution to expanding the scope of dependence on digital payments to include a wide segment of visitors and tourists that Dubai attracts annually.

He said: «The strengthening of smart and safe channels will establish Dubai’s position as a global destination for digital tourism and innovative economy, and reflects our commitment to accelerate the shift towards a non -monetary society that achieves the highest levels of efficiency and financial sustainability, and we are assured that this cooperation will open new horizons to adopt advanced financial solutions, which contribute to supporting the sustainable economic growth of the emirate.

In turn, Obaidullah said: “Our partnership with Dubai’s finance reflects our keenness to advance Dubai’s critical strategy towards broader horizons, based on the fly Dubai commitment to adopting digital solutions, and this partnership will allow us to enhance the travel experience for millions of international visitors who choose Dubai annually, while simplifying digital payments will contribute and make them safer and easily, in achieving greater comfort for our customers, Dubai’s position is established as a global center for digital innovation and an engine for economic growth.
