The fishermen forum in Ajman highlights the sustainability of natural resources

Ajman on October 4 / WAM / The Municipal Department of Planning and Planning, in cooperation with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, organized the fishermen meeting, with the aim of introducing the laws and legislations regulating the fish wealth sector, and highlighting the ways to protect and sustain it in line with the state’s vision in preserving natural resources.

The forum witnessed an integrated offer by representatives of the Ministry, during which they reviewed the most prominent national decisions and initiatives supporting the fishing sector, which is directed towards organizing the profession in a way that preserves the marine environment and enhances the sustainability of the fish stock in the long run.

The meeting stressed the importance of the fishermen’s commitment to applying the laws and regulations in force, because of this direct impact on protecting the marine environment, and ensuring the continuity of the fishing profession as a basic source of income and an important tributary for food security.

The department emphasized its tireless work and its continuous efforts to provide the necessary support to the fishermen by organizing awareness programs and community initiatives that enhance their role in protecting the marine environment, and providing them with the legal and technical knowledge necessary to practice the profession in a responsible and sustainable manner.

For their part, the fishermen participating in the forum expressed their appreciation for the initiative, praising the role of the organizers in communicating information and clarifying legislation and developments, stressing their keenness to comply with the instructions and continuous cooperation with the competent authorities, in a way that ensures the sustainability of the sea as a vital supplier for future generations, and reflects their professional awareness and commitment to their responsibility towards the environment.
