The representative office of the Ministry of Health organizes a forum to enhance the health of the elderly
Umm Al -Quwain on October 7 / WAM / The representative office of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in Umm Al -Quwain organized today the forum “Kill you close … You are health and prevention”, within the framework of the national campaign to enhance the health of the elderly that will continue until October 22.
The forum comes within the framework of the Ministry’s efforts to spread the concepts of healthy age and enhance family and community interdependence with the elderly, embodying the values of solidarity and social cohesion and enhances the quality of healthy life in society.
Ali bin Hamad Al -Ghafli, director of the representative office of the Ministry of Health in Umm Al Quwain, stressed that the campaign aims to raise societal awareness of the importance of early discovery of changes related to age, and to provide a supportive environment that limits social isolation and enhances mental health, as well as establishing the role of the family and society in caring for the elderly and encouraging preventive tests, appreciating the efforts of all parties and institutions that contributed to enhancing the goals of the campaign.
Moza Muhammad Al -Balushi, the executive of the happiness of the dealers at the Happiness Center for Senior Citizens in Ajman, explained that the campaign comes in conjunction with the launch of the national framework for age in the health and sponsorship of 2025-201, which establishes the quality of the lives of senior citizens through qualitative national initiatives that support their positive participation in society. The forum included a specialized awareness workshop presented by specialists in the fields of public medicine, nursing and mental health. The Umm Al Quwain Youth Council also participated in a dialogue session during which the participants stressed the importance of enhancing the awareness of young people in their role in caring for the health of the elderly and following up their health and psychological conditions. The activities of the forum included an exhibition in which a group of health institutions participated, which presented the most prominent preventive programs and services directed to the elderly.
