Varese (Italy), 7 October / WAM / Slovenian Tade Pogačar, player of the Emirates –

Pogacar took the lead 22 kilometers before the finish line after a strong attack on the Montello slope, and he was able to expand the gap to more than a minute to reach the finish line alone, achieving the team’s 91st victory this season.

Danish Albert Vithen Philipsen from the Liddell-Trek team came in second place, 45 seconds behind, while Frenchman Julien Alaphilippe from the Tudor Pro Cycling team came in third.

Pogacar’s Mexican teammate Isaac del Toro came in eighth place after a distinguished performance within the group of chasers.

This victory is the second for Pogačar in the history of the race, after he had previously won the title in a previous edition, confirming his readiness before his next participation in the Lombardia Race, one of the most important one-day races of the season.
