The Bahrain Society of Accountants and Auditors announces the formation of the arbitration committee

The Bahraini Society of Accountants and Auditors announced the formation of the arbitration committee for the Accounting Excellence Award, as part of its preparations to implement the evaluation and arbitration stages of the research and projects participating in the award, which aims to support excellence and innovation in the accounting field, and encourage students and graduates to pursue scientific research and applied knowledge production.

The formation of the committee was to reflect the diversity and integration of academic and practical experiences, ensuring a balanced and fair evaluation based on the highest standards of professionalism and objectivity.

The committee includes an elite group of highly qualified national figures in the fields of accounting and auditing, and its members were selected from prestigious academic and professional institutions within the Kingdom.

The judging panel from the academic side includes:

• Dr. Noura Al-Zayed – Assistant Professor at the University of Bahrain.

• Kubra Ahraboh – Lecturer and doctoral researcher at Bahrain Polytechnic.

• Dr. Ahmed Al-Haiki – Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Financial Management Program at the American University of Bahrain.

On the professional side, it includes:

• Mohammed Al-Mansour – Director of Financial Affairs at the Bahrain Chamber.

• Moaz Al-Abbasi – Auditing Director at the Bureau of Financial and Administrative Control.

• Muhammad Issa – founder of Accelerate Academy.

The Bahraini Society of Accountants and Auditors confirmed that the formation of the committee comes within an institutional approach aimed at establishing professional evaluation standards based on combining academic rigor and applied vision.

She also indicated that each participating research will undergo a double evaluation by an academic and professional arbitrator to ensure impartiality and transparency, and to achieve integration between the scientific aspect and realistic practices in the work environment.

The Association added that the Accounting Excellence Award comes within a series of initiatives launched by the Association to highlight young national competencies and enhance the position of the accounting profession in supporting the national economy, by encouraging the use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence in developing professional practices.

The jury is scheduled to begin its work during next November to evaluate the entries submitted through the award’s electronic platform, and the best twenty qualified projects will be announced, followed by the selection of the top three winners during the closing ceremony scheduled to be held at the end of this year.
