Al Ain, 8 October / WAM / Today, Al Rawda Square in Al Ain hosted the Al Thanya category competitions, as part of the final round of the Al Ain Festival of Purebred Arabian Camel Racing, which is organized by the Presidential Camel Racing and Racing Affairs Center, in cooperation with the Emirates Camel Racing Federation.
The dual competitions were held over 6 rounds, for a distance of 6 km, with wide participation from camel owners from the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
“Tharwa”, owned by Mohammed Sultan Markhan Al Ketbi, excelled in the doubles category, and succeeded in clinching the open Albakar Cup in the first main half, with the best time, recording 9:08:35 minutes.
“Dalil” by Matar Hamad Amira Al Shamsi achieved the second double symbol after gifting his owner with the open seat rifle in the second main half, with a time of 9:13:50 minutes.
“Warning” by Ahmed Sultan Bel Rasheed Al Suwaidi succeeded in winning the third round title with a time of 9:23:99 minutes, while the fourth round title in the local Al Bakr competitions went to “Dalma” owned by Ahmed Matar Majed Al Khaili, with a time of 9:21:88 minutes.
“Mamdouh” by Sayed Salim Ali Al Ameri won the title of the fifth round, achieving 9:12:77 minutes, while the dual category competitions concluded with “Mubasher” by Muhammad Sultan Markhan Al Ketbi winning the title of the sixth and final round, with a time of 9:23:74 minutes.
It is noteworthy that the Al Ain Camel Racing Festival was launched in its first edition last July through 3 preliminary rounds during July, August and September, and concludes with the final round this October with symbols races.
