In an interview with the British magazine “Harper’s Bazaar”, Aniston, who is 56 years old, said that she felt the need to correct the wrong image that had accompanied her for years.

She continued: “People were making up stories about me without knowing what I had been through during the past twenty years trying to start a family. They said I was selfish and a workaholic, but no one knew the truth.”

The “Friends” star indicated that she had undergone failed artificial insemination attempts, and wished she had frozen her eggs at a younger age, adding that this experience was “a difficult journey full of hope and disappointment.”

Aniston confirmed that what matters to her today is who truly knows her truth: “My family and friends know me, and I don’t care what is said next.”

Aniston separated from star Brad Pitt in 2005 after 5 years of marriage, at a time when Hollywood was talking about the beginning of Pitt’s relationship with actress Angelina Jolie.

Later, Aniston entered into a six-year relationship with actor Justin Theroux before it ended in 2017.
