A delegation from Dubai Customs visits the UAE Pavilion at Expo Osaka

Dubai, 9 October / WAM / A delegation from Dubai Customs, represented by the Women’s Committee, visited the Expo Japan 2025 in Osaka, with the aim of learning about the most prominent global experiences in the fields of innovation, sustainability, national identity, strengthening international relations and exchanging experiences.
The tour included a visit to the UAE Pavilion and a number of international pavilions, “Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Italy, and Thailand,” and learned about the pioneering initiatives offered by these countries in various vital sectors.
In the UAE Pavilion, the delegation listened to an explanation from Maryam Salem Al Mamari, Head of the UAE Expo Office in Osaka, about the content of the pavilion, which is titled “From Earth to Ether,” and what it embodies of the UAE’s vision of combining cultural heritage with future aspirations, as it focuses on four main axes: innovation, sustainability, health care, and space exploration. Thanks to this balance between the past and the future, the pavilion was able to provide a unique experience. And integrated for visitors.
The design of the pavilion was also inspired by the palm tree and the traditional Emirati pergola, as it includes 90 columns made from agricultural palm waste. Moreover, the pavilion is divided into five thematic areas, allowing visitors to interact with multi-sensory exhibits that include visual and audio experiences and digital media. The journey ends with a touching documentary presentation entitled “Woven Legacies,” which tells stories. From the lives of Emiratis today, it highlights the role of innovators and leaders in shaping the future of the country.
