"Global Tolerance and Peace" He welcomes the agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza

Abu Dhabi, 10 October / WAM / The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace welcomed the announcement of the agreement on the first phase of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the release of all prisoners and hostages, and allowing the entry of humanitarian and relief aid, considering this step a positive development towards ending the suffering of civilians and creating conditions to restore security and stability in the region.

His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Jarawn, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, on behalf of the Council and its members around the world, expressed his appreciation for the Arab and international efforts that contributed to reaching this agreement, stressing that the ceasefire must be a first step towards a lasting and just peace that guarantees the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the principles of justice and human dignity.

He stressed that true peace can only be achieved through serious and comprehensive dialogue that puts an end to the cycle of violence and establishes a future in which the values ​​of tolerance, coexistence and mutual respect among peoples prevail.

His Excellency added that the Council calls for launching an international initiative to protect Gaza and declare it a safe zone and a land of peace, ensuring the protection of civilians, stopping all forms of aggression, and enabling humanitarian and relief efforts, in preparation for reconstruction and building a future of security, stability and sustainable development.

He explained that the “N’Djamena Declaration,” the final statement of the thirteenth session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace, which was held in the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, on October 6, had stressed the necessity of achieving comprehensive and just peace in the Middle East region, stopping the war, and activating the two-state solution in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.

His Excellency Al Jarwan stressed that the Council will continue its work with its partners in various countries and international institutions to enhance dialogue, understanding and cooperation in order to consolidate a culture of comprehensive global peace.
