“The Gallant Knight 3” provided 21 tankers to address water scarcity

As part of the UAE’s ongoing relief and humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, Operation “Gallant Knight 3” delivered 21 water tankers to the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility in the Strip, in order to contribute to securing water for affected families and areas suffering from severe water scarcity, and to fill the deficit faced by local authorities in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions.

These tanks cover the needs of about 200,000 people, transporting approximately 150,000 liters of water on each trip, and the capacity of each tank is 10 cubic metres, which contributes to ensuring the arrival of desalinated water to various regions, and reflects the UAE’s permanent commitment to supporting the population and mitigating the effects of the crisis on their daily lives.

Sherif Al-Nayrab, media official in Operation Gallant Knight 3 in the Gaza Strip, confirmed that this initiative comes within the framework of the UAE’s ongoing relief efforts to provide support to the residents of the Strip and alleviate their suffering, indicating that the operation continues to provide everything necessary to ensure continuous access of desalinated water to various areas.

For his part, Omar Shatat, Deputy Executive Director of the Coastal Municipalities Water Utility, appreciated the timing of the arrival of these tanks given the increasing need for them in various regions, praising the role of “Operation Gallant Knight 3” in enhancing humanitarian work within the sector, thanking the government and people of the UAE for their continued support and noble positions in alleviating the suffering of the population as a result of the war and the current crisis.

It is noteworthy that “Operation Gallant Knight 3” had opened about a month ago a new line to transport desalinated water from the Emirati station in Al-Arish to Mawasi Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, with a capacity of 2 million gallons per day, to serve hundreds of thousands of citizens in various regions of the Strip.

These initiatives embody the UAE’s established humanitarian approach and its continued keenness to provide support and relief to brotherly peoples in times of crisis, based on the values ​​of solidarity and giving that characterize its humanitarian policy globally.
