The General Authority takes care of the affairs of The Prophet’s Mosque is extremely concerned with serving the guests of the Most Merciful and visitors to the Mosque of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, from all categories, and is keen to create a spacious, safe and prepared environment that enables everyone to perform their worship with all comfort and reassurance, especially people with disabilities and the elderly, for whom the Authority has allocated an integrated system of services and facilities prepared in accordance with the highest standards of quality and human concern.
Within the framework of the facilities provided by the Authority, free wheelchairs were allocated inside the Prophet’s Mosque, to enable the elderly and people with disabilities to move easily between its corridors and courtyards, and modern electric carts were also prepared to facilitate their movement in the courtyards and long corridors, ensuring quick access to the sites of prayer and worship without trouble.
The Authority was also keen to provide ramps at the doors of the Prophet’s Mosque to facilitate the movement of wheels and wheelchairs, allowing smooth entry and exit, as well as elevators and escalators that enable them to move between floors easily, while fully equipped restrooms were allocated in public facilities for the elderly and people with disabilities, taking into account ease. Use and provision of safety and comfort tools.
Integrated Services
The services also include designated prayer rooms at the entrances to the Prophet’s Mosque, enabling them to perform prayers in complete comfort, in addition to a special headquarters on the western roof at Door No. (6) The Authority allocated it for performing prayers, where the sermon is translated into sign language in support of the deaf and hard of hearing category.
Within the framework of comprehensive care, the Authority prepared copies of the Qur’an in Braille for the blind, to allow them to recite the Holy Qur’an in an atmosphere of tranquility and reverence. It also allocated special vehicles to enable them to reach Zamzam water easily and smoothly, which reflects the integration of the services provided to them in terms of spirit, environment, and worship. .
Specialized field teams are working to sterilize and disinfect sites and facilities around the clock to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all visitors, in addition to facilitating entry and exit by placing clear symbols and signs for their service sites, in order to achieve an organized and safe visiting experience that takes into account the privacy of each category..
