Katie Ramsay: Bahrain represents an opportunity to conclude partnership agreements in the region

The Head of the Financial Technology Department at the Ministry of Business and Trade of the United Kingdom Government, Katie Ramsay, confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain represents a good opportunity to enter the Gulf region and conclude partnership agreements. She revealed in a statement to Al-Watan on the sidelines of the “Future of Financial Technology” forum held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, the signing of agreements with local and international companies participating in the forum.

Katie Ramsay explained that the Ministry of Business and Trade of the United Kingdom Government was keen to participate in the forum in an effort to create partnerships that would benefit users of financial technologies in the United Kingdom and the Gulf countries. She said: In the United Kingdom, we have many institutions that can enhance financial services at the global level, and we came to Bahrain as a country that enjoys an attractive environment, and the forum achieves the goals that the United Kingdom Ministry of Business and Trade seeks with the countries of the region.

She added: Yesterday, we spent a day full of programs and meetings, organized by the Economic Development Board in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where we met with officials from the Central Bank of Bahrain, the Benefit Company, Bahrain Financial Technology Bay, and Venture Capital Bank.
