المملكة: A 4-stage treatment plan that leads a woman to complete recovery from breast cancer


Hamad Al Jabr Center for Oncology recorded an inspiring medical success story that restored hope to many, after a specialized medical team was able to treat a woman in her forties who was suffering from breast cancer in Advanced stage, thus emphasizing the pivotal role played by early diagnosis and therapeutic integration in achieving the best possible results.

The beginning of the journey and diagnosis

The woman’s health journey began with her noticing an abnormal mass in The left breast, accompanied by some secretions, which prompted her to seek immediate medical advice.

The precise examinations conducted at the Al-Afaliq Center for Early Detection, and confirmed by the results of the biopsy, showed that she had a cancerous tumor in an advanced stage, which necessitated urgent and organized therapeutic action.

Immediately, Her case was presented to the Scientific Board of Oncology, which developed a comprehensive treatment protocol specifically designed for her case.

The treatment plan followed

The treatment plan included several successive stages, beginning with Chemotherapy aims to reduce the size of the tumor and control it, in preparation for surgical intervention.

After the tumor responded to chemotherapy, a delicate surgical operation was performed in which the entire left breast was removed to ensure the removal of all cancerous cells.

The treatment journey did not stop there, but was followed by a vital phase that included a program Intensive radiation therapy to ensure the elimination of any possible remnants of the disease, in addition to the ongoing hormonal treatment that the patient is still undergoing as part of a periodic and continuous follow-up plan.
