The Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation announces the list of its participants in… "Asian Youth Games"

Abu Dhabi, October 15 / WAM / The UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation announced today the list of its teams to participate in the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
The Federation confirmed that the national jiu-jitsu team will participate with 18 male and female players in the Asian competitions, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain during the period from 22 to 31 October, in weights of 48, 56, 62, 69 and 85 kg for the men’s category, and 48, 52, 57 and 63 kg for the women’s category.
He explained that the national team for mixed martial arts will compete with 10 male and female players, in weights of 50, 60, 65, 70 and 75 kg in the men’s category in traditional competitions, and weights of 50, 60 and 65 kg in the men’s category in modern competitions, in addition to a weight of 50 kg for women in traditional competitions, and a weight of 45 kg in modern competitions.
The UAE’s representation in jiu-jitsu competitions is sponsored by Mubadala Investment Company, as part of its continued support for developing the game in the country, while the widespread participation in mixed martial arts and jiu-jitsu reflects the country’s leading position on the regional and international arenas in self-defense sports, and is an ideal opportunity to enable players to test their abilities against an elite group of emerging Asian talents.
Mubarak Saleh Al Menhali, Director of the Technical Department at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, stressed that the Asian Games constitute an important platform for highlighting the great development of the sport of Jiu-Jitsu in the country, indicating his confidence in the ability of the team’s players to achieve honorable results that reflect the remarkable progress in their technical levels.

He said that the sport of jiu-jitsu enjoys a prominent position in the Emirati sports scene, and the Asian Youth Games are an important platform to highlight the great level of development that our players have reached, pointing out that through this participation, which extends over several days of the tournament, the male and female national team players will demonstrate their high skills and great commitment to the values ​​of this sport, and we are confident in their ability to achieve achievements worthy of the name of the Emirates.
For his part, Mohammed Al Hosani, member of the Mixed Martial Arts Committee at the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, said that this participation represents an important development stage for the sport of mixed martial arts, especially at the level of the Sunni groups.

He expressed his confidence in the abilities of our players who were well prepared physically, mentally and technically, pointing out that this tournament gives them a valuable opportunity to test their skills against an elite group of Asian champions, and also reflects the federation’s commitment to nurturing this promising generation and enabling them to represent the country in the best way.
The 2025 Asian Youth Games is one of the most prominent continental sporting events that brings together a large number of elite young athletes from various Asian countries, while the UAE’s active participation in jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts competitions confirms its position as one of the leading countries in self-defense sports, and its constant endeavor to produce new generations of champions capable of competing and excelling regionally and internationally.
