"Expand North Star": The flexibility of Dubai’s digital business environment stimulates technological innovation

DUBAI, 15th October, 2025 (WAM) – The Expand Northstar 2025 exhibition, organized by the Dubai World Trade Center and hosted by the Dubai Chamber for the Digital Economy, and concluding its activities today in Dubai Harbour, recorded a remarkable presence from European startups and innovators to showcase the latest technical solutions and digital innovations, and explore expansion opportunities in the region’s markets.
European entrepreneurs participating in the event stressed that the flexibility of the digital business environment in Dubai allows testing and development of modern technologies, which stimulates the movement of innovation. They pointed out that Expand North Star contributes to consolidating Dubai’s position as a major gateway for European technology companies seeking international expansion, seizing investment opportunities, and building strategic partnerships in the markets of the region and the world.
Marco Sonberger, Chief Technology Officer of the Austrian company Noxavis Tech Solutions, which works on digitizing health care protocols, stressed the strategic importance of the event, which constituted an opportunity to communicate with partners and potential customers and exchange experiences.
Ludwig Speidel, CFO of the German company “Swooby”, which specializes in providing solutions for exchanging and charging light electric vehicles, said: “We seek to explore the opportunities available in the light electric vehicle market, especially motorcycles, and Dubai constitutes an ideal platform to achieve our aspirations. Due to its location at the forefront of cities adopting new technologies.
David Carvalho, CEO of the French robotics company Hawaii Tech, said that the use of robots in the construction sector has become necessary for the development of urban infrastructure, and we look forward to establishing our independent company in Dubai in cooperation with local institutions, as the work environment in Dubai provides greater flexibility for experimentation and innovation compared to the European market, which is often governed by traditional frameworks.
Marcin Szymanjuk, CEO of the Polish company Tantus Data, which specializes in data and artificial intelligence consulting, pointed out that there is huge potential for growth in Dubai and the UAE in general, which aspires to be an incubator environment for artificial intelligence on a large scale in the coming years.
