"Fujairah Free Zone" Looking to enhance economic cooperation with China
Fujairah, June 6 / WAM / The Fujairah Free Zone Authority discussed the prospects and opportunities for joint cooperation with China in economic and investment fields of mutual interest.
This came during a visit by His Excellency Owaboshian, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, to the Fujairah Free Zone Authority, which aimed to strengthen the close bilateral relations between the two sides.
During the meeting between His Excellency Sherif Habib Al Awadhi, Director General of the Fujairah Free Zone Authority, and the Chinese Consul, the exceptional investment potential of the Emirate of Fujairah was reviewed, and the advanced infrastructure and competitive services and facilities that the free zone provides to investors and international companies, which make it an attractive strategic center for business in the region.
Al-Awadhi stressed that the visit embodies the depth of the close historical and economic relations between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China, and reflects the common desire to raise the levels of economic cooperation to broader horizons in a way that serves mutual interests and enhances the process of sustainable development.
He said that the Fujairah Free Zone attaches great importance to the partnership with the Chinese business community, pointing out that Fujairah, thanks to its strategic geographical location overlooking the Indian Ocean and its integrated logistics infrastructure, constitutes an ideal platform and a strategic choice for Chinese companies aspiring to expand the scope of their business and commercial activities in the Middle East and African markets.
