Tomorrow, rain prayer will be held in all mosques in the country

The General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat confirmed that, based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to hold rain prayers throughout the country, in imitation of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace, and to supplicate to God in supplication seeking the descending of blessed rain, rain prayers will be held in all mosques nationwide tomorrow, Friday, October 17, half an hour before Friday prayers. In coordination With the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa, the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, and the Department of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah.
The head of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Dari, praised the sublime guidance of His Highness the President of the State in reviving the Prophetic Sunnahs out of mercy for his servants and creatures, praying to God for good health, and for God to make this country an oasis of goodness and a source of giving.
He stressed that all preparations had been made, as circulars had been made to all officials in the Authority and imams of mosques to prepare the mosques to receive worshipers and to create the ideal environment that enhances reverence and tranquility, wishing for the participation of all members of society and the initiative to obtain reward and reward and to turn to God with certainty, and to pray to Him that the blessed rain would descend to spread goodness and development on the face of the earth.
For its part, the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwa stated that the rain prayer is a blessed prophetic sunnah that is performed in two rak’ahs followed by a sermon without a pulpit, and it launched a group of awareness and fatwa initiatives related to the performance of this sunnah and an explanation of the supplications mentioned in rain rain, which included a video clip introductory to the rain prayer and its provisions, in cooperation with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, and a group From jurisprudential and fatwa publications through its official social media platforms.
The Council also published a comprehensive jurisprudential publication on the “rain prayer” in Arabic and English, which the public can download through the smart application and the Council’s website via the link.
