Show jumping riders participate in the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain

Abu Dhabi, October 16 / WAM / The Emirates Equestrian and Racing Federation announced the participation of 5 riders in the show jumping competitions for the team and individual categories, with heights of 1.10 cm and 1.20 cm, at the Asian Youth Games “Bahrain 2025”, which will be held from 22 to 31 October this year.
The Federation explained in a statement today that the selection of the five knights, namely Mabkhout Al-Karbi, Alia Al-Muhairi, Muhammad Al-Ghurair, Saleh Al-Karbi and Muhammad Al-Awani, came according to the results achieved in the various tournaments since the beginning of last season, all the way to the summer league in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Nakhi, Director of the Federation’s Show Jumping Committee, explained that the UAE national team will participate with 4 riders in the teams and individual teams, while one of the riders will remain as a reserve, depending on the circumstances of the competitions.
He pointed out that the team arrived in Bahrain on October 21, and the team draw and veterinary examination took place the next day, and the first round of the team championship was held on October 23, followed 24 hours later by the second round and the crowning of the winners.
Al-Nakhi stated that October 25 will witness the veterinary examination of the participants in the individual tournament and the examination of the horses, in preparation for the start of the competitions the next day and the crowning of the winners.
The Director of the Show Jumping Committee described participation in the tournament as a qualitative opportunity to develop expertise, acquire skills, and establish a strong base of promising elements for the future of the UAE national team, to compete in the “Dakar 2026” Youth Olympic Games.
