We are proud of the “Dubai Roads” team… and the mission is not finished

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, confirmed that the establishment of the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai twenty years ago constituted a turning point in the process of developing the emirate’s infrastructure, noting that Dubai invested during that period more than 175 billion dirhams in road and transportation projects.

His Highness said in a blog post on the “X” platform: “Twenty years ago, we established the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai. We invested more than 175 billion dirhams in road infrastructure during that period. We invested in building a work team. We invested in building invaluable knowledge and experience in building and managing our infrastructure projects.”

His Highness added: “Today we are proud of the work team… and we say to them that the task is not over… and the responsibility has doubled… and the transportation challenges are increasing with the city’s exceptional growth speed… and what is coming is more important than the past… because the continuation of the development momentum is linked to the smooth movement of people… and there should be no complacency in this vital file in our development journey.”
