Trump questions China’s invasion of Taiwan…and an assessment reveals the year of decisiveness

The American President doubted Monday, in the possibility of , when asked about a previous Department of Defense assessment that concluded that in 2027, Beijing will attempt to control the autonomous island.
Trump told reporters during his meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese "I think things will go well with China. China doesn’t want to do that"

Without explicitly declaring that he would order the use of force to defend Taiwan, Trump said that China understands that the United States "It is the largest military force in the world by a wide margin"
He continued "We have the best at every level, and no one will mess with that. I don’t see that happening at all with President Xi"he added "I think we will get along very well regarding Taiwan and elsewhere"

Trump will hold his first meeting with Xi in his second presidential term during a visit by the two presidents to South Korea later this month to attend the Asia-Pacific Summit.
Trump said that his priority is to reach a fair trade agreement with China. He refused to answer a question about whether the United States would abandon support for Taiwan as part of an agreement with Xi.
