Emirates Media Council launches a platform "security " To enhance community participation in building responsible and safe media

ABU DHABI, 21 October / WAM / His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Media Council, affirmed that the wise leadership in the UAE gives people and society a top priority, and is keen to consolidate the values ​​of awareness and responsibility, especially in the media sector, as it is the voice of society and the platform for its aspirations.

His Excellency pointed out that the UAE is continuing to build a responsible media environment that expresses the identity and awareness of Emirati society, keeps pace with its ambitions, and supports the energies and creativity of its people, stressing that the media is an essential partner in the development process, and a pillar in strengthening national identity and consolidating the country’s position regionally and globally.
His Excellency said that the UAE continues, under the guidance of its wise leadership, to develop an integrated media system that engages all segments of society in creating media that reflects its ideas and ambitions, keeps pace with global transformations responsibly and professionally, and ensures a safe environment for future generations.
He added: “Content is a responsibility, and it is a message that affects society’s thought, awareness, and trends, and reflects the state’s image and status. What we publish and what we present must be content that elevates and benefits society, builds positive awareness, and expresses our values, humanity, and national identity that we are proud of.”
His Excellency said that society, with all its components, is a partner in building a responsible national media that enhances awareness, maintains credibility, and supports the sustainability of the growth of media content in the UAE, in a way that embodies its civilized image and its leadership in establishing constructive dialogue and conscious thought.
This came during the launch of His Excellency the “Amen” digital platform, which was designed to activate the community’s role in following the media content circulating in the country, based on a firm conviction that the community is an essential partner in protecting the media space and preserving its values.

The platform aims to enhance the culture of community participation by establishing a responsible and safe media environment that expresses society’s awareness and aspirations, and supports the quality of content, to build a media that reflects public confidence and keeps pace with the UAE’s position and leadership in developing the media scene.
The Safe digital platform, supervised by the Emirates Media Council, aims to provide a direct channel to the public that allows active participation in promoting a responsible and safe media environment, by contributing to monitoring unsafe, misleading or violating content, and building a community partnership based on awareness and responsibility.
For his part, His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary-General of the Emirates Media Council, stressed that the “Amen” platform comes in line with the initiatives and objectives of the “Year of Community,” announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him. The platform embodies the UAE’s vision of ensuring the quality of circulating media content. It also represents an interactive channel that enables community members to contribute to strengthening and preserving a responsible media environment.
