Implemented Khafji Governorate Municipality A specialized awareness and training course on the basics of cybersecurity, which lasted for five days, in conjunction with global efforts to celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month during the month of October.
The course aimed to raise the level of awareness of preventive measures for Cybersecurity within municipal sector networks and facilities.
The course reviewed a number of common mistakes that employees may make during their daily operations, which can lead to major risks threatening cybersecurity.
Potential Threats
The course also focused on the importance of awareness of these mistakes, and how Avoid them, emphasizing that all individuals play an important role in protecting against potential threats.
In this context, he explained , Engineer Muhammad bin Ali Al-Yami, said that this course comes within a broader training package that includes four specialized courses targeting municipal employees.
He pointed out that after the conclusion of the cybersecurity basics course last week, a group of other training courses are currently being implemented.
Ongoing programs
Ongoing programs include Specialized courses in “preparing operational plans,” and “total quality management,” in addition to a course in “competition and procurement work.”
Engineer Al-Yami noted the vital importance of these courses for all municipal employees, stressing that they come within the framework of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to develop its departments, and its keenness to raise competencies in all departments, with the aim of achieving high standards of performance and effectiveness in providing services.
