Shabab Al-Ahly sweeps Nasaf by four in the AFC Elite Champions League

Shabab Al-Ahly broke the barrier of offensive barrenness that had plagued the team since the beginning of the season, and achieved a major and well-deserved victory over its guest, Nasaf of Uzbekistan, with a score of 4-1, in the match that was held this Tuesday evening at Rashid Stadium in Dubai, within the third round of the AFC Elite Champions League, so that the team continued its strong performances on the continent and topped the group with 7 points, while Nasaf remained in last place without any points after three consecutive defeats.
The victory confirmed the clear offensive improvement of the team under the leadership of Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa, after the “Dubai Knights” were able to score four goals in one match for the first time this season, while the team scored only four goals in the first six rounds of the ADNOC Professional League, which reflects the success of the technical staff in addressing the offensive shortcomings despite the influential absences.
Shabab Al-Ahly started the match strong, as Argentine Federico Cartabia opened the scoring in the 8th minute with a follow-up and a wonderful shot inside the penalty area, before Nasaf quickly equalized the score in the 10th minute through Abdel Rakhmatov.
Shabab Al-Ahly returned to control the events, with Brazilian Renan Victor adding the second goal in the 27th minute with a perfect header, then his compatriot Matheus Lima widened the difference with a third goal in the 41st minute after a clear one-on-one with the goalkeeper, which he ended with a beautiful artistic touch.
In the second half, Shabab Al-Ahly maintained its advantage and field control, and Breno Cascardo added the fourth goal in the 95th minute after an organized attack that he concluded with a powerful shot into the net, so the team achieved its biggest win this season and continued its Asian journey with confidence.
The victory confirmed that Shabab Al-Ahly is gradually overcoming its attacking crisis despite the injury of its Iranian star, Sardar Azmoun, and his long absence from the stadiums, as the team showed group cohesion and a strong personality, strengthening its position as one of the most prominent teams in the group aspiring to qualify for the knockout rounds.
