88 million euros in damages from the Louvre theft

Paris, October 21 / WAM / The management of the Louvre Museum in Paris estimated the value of the damage resulting from the theft of jewels that occurred on Sunday at 88 million euros.

The Public Prosecutor of the French capital, Laure Picot, said today: “The curator of the Louvre Museum estimated the damage at 88 million euros, which is a very huge amount, but it is insignificant and cannot be compared to the historical damage.”
